Umfolozi-Hluhluwe is the nature reserve on the old hunting grounds of Shaka, most famous of the Zulu kings. A land of rolling green hills, thick riparian forest and majestic-Sycamore-fig-lined rivers. It was ground zero of the race to save the white rhino and also ground zero of my own professional connection to our living world.
